Mystery Reader

I would like to invite any parents, or other special people, to surprise your child by being a “Mystery Reader” this year in our classroom.  Students LOVE having their family visit our classroom to share in our learning by reading a favorite story aloud to our class.  Mystery Readers will visit us on Fridays at 2:00 p.m. each week.  Readers are asked to bring a book to read, or read a teacher-chosen book from our classroom library. If the assigned Fridays do not work for you, we can find a date that is mutually convenient.  There will be a sign-up sheet at Meet-the-Teacher Night.

I will send a reminder e-mail to you during the week of your chosen date, asking you to write five facts about yourself that will be used as clues for the students to help them guess who will be reading to the class.

Remember, you are a mystery to the class, so try not to tell your child when you will be coming!  You may take your child home after reading to the class.

Please send me a “secret” note if you have any further questions.  We can’t wait to meet our Mystery Readers!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Keegan
