Thank you for all of your thoughtful Valentine’s Day gifts!

 

 

 

ELA

 

This week, the students will be reading from Journeys:The Life and Times of the Ant.

There will be a Vocabulary test on Thursday, February 28th and a Reading Comprehension test on Friday, March 1st.The Vocabulary words can be found on our class page.   






Science Fair Project

 

Students received information about their Science Fair project on Thursday, January 31, 2019.

All projects are due in class on Thursday, March 7, 2019.

All projects will be on display for the Science Fair on Friday, March 8, 2019. Students will present to their class on March 7thand to the school on March 8th

Math

This week, the class will begin learning about fractions. 

 

 

 

Social Studies

There will be a Social Studies Test on Colonial New York Lessons 3 & 4 on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. This Review Sheet can be found on our class page. 

 

 

 

 

  

Handwriting

Students should practice writing their first name and last name in cursive writing. They should be writing their name in cursive on all work. 




Extra Help 

 

The next Extra Help date for February is 2/26/19.  Students must bring a note saying that they are staying for extra help. 






REMINDERS

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD HAS A NOTE WHEN THERE IS A CHANGE IN DISMISSAL.

Students should have a book to read in their desk. 

Reminder: Please return your annual registration forms. 

January 22nd-The Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation Scholarship application process opens.

Teacher Request: Our class needs more tissues, paper towels, and baby wipes. If you can donate these items, it would be greatly appreciated. 


Students need several sharpened #2 pencils, yellow and green highlighters, and glue sticks.
