THANK YOU TO MRS. MURPHY, MRS. TORRES, AND ALL OF YOUR DONATIONS. THE CLASS HAD A GREAT EASTER CELEBRATION!

 

 

ELA

This week, the students will read the story Harvesting Hope: The Story of Cesar Chavez from Journeys. There will be a Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension test on Friday, May 3rd. The Vocabulary words can be found on our class page. The students must be able to write 5 of the 10 vocabulary words in complete sentences. 







Science

There will be a Science test on Plants on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. The Review sheet can be found on our class page. Students should use their Science book, notes, and Review Sheet to study. Students must bring their Science book back to class. 





Math

The class will continue learning about fractions and geometry.  

 




 

Handwriting

Students should practice writing their first name and last name in cursive writing. They should be writing their name in cursive on all work. 




 

Extra Help 

 

The next Extra Help date for April is 4/30/19.  Students must bring a note saying that they are staying for extra help. 






REMINDERS

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD HAS A NOTE WHEN THERE IS A CHANGE IN DISMISSAL.

Students should have a book to read in their desk. 

Reminder: Please return your annual registration forms. 

January 22nd-The Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation Scholarship application process opens. 

                        Information is located inside the Parent Resources tab on our school website. 

 

 

A letter about the N.Y.S. Assessments went home on 3/12/19. 

 

Math: N.Y.S. Assessment is on May 1st-May 2nd.  Students should have several sharpened #2 pencils. They may bring in an extra snack to have before the assessment.

Please help our class by signing up for lunch and recess duty.

 

Teacher Request: Our class needs more tissues, paper towels, and baby wipes. If you can donate these items, it would be greatly appreciated. 


Students need several sharpened #2 pencils, yellow and green highlighters, and glue sticks.
