In our scripture readings this week we explored the story of Noah and the Great Flood. Imagine what Noah must have felt as God tasked him with this impossible job. But, Noah’s Faith persevered and carried him through. As Noah, we are called to Fall Back on our Faith, to persevere, and in God’s time we will find solid ground again.
Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me. (Mt. 25:40) Bishop Barres renews his call for us to choose compassion over exclusion and discord as we consider a Catholic approach to immigration.

It’s perfectly natural for parents to ask this question. After all, the choice of where your child attends school is surely one of the most important decisions you’ll have to make as a parent. Often, parents’ first question is: how much will it cost? Will I be able to afford it? Actually, that should be parents’ last question. When it comes to our kids, and their education, the real question is: “Can I afford not to?”
